Roger is a Chartered Accountant and management consultant with extensive experience in corporate performance management, business intelligence and GRC. He is one of two certified KPI Professionals in Africa with the KPI Institute.

He is passionate about working with clients to improve their performance at an individual, process or organisational level. He has strong expertise is deploying large, complex and challenging enterprise wide solutions.

In 1992 Roger passed the CA board exam on the first attempt and went on to complete his articles with Coopers & Lybrand, after which he was appointed to an audit manager position. He gained experience in the financial services industry and managed audits in six different sectors.

Roger moved to the Nampak corporate head-office he was responsible for the financial statements, tax returns, budgets, forecasts and statistical returns for half of the Nampak group. During this time he led a program to automate most of the reporting process using Hyperion technology. After the success of the program, he was appointed as the Group Knowledge Management System Manager reporting to the head of IT. In this position he introduced the group to business Intelligence and lead many operational and enterprise initiatives to provide better management information. He also delivered continuous business monitoring solutions in support of the group-wide ERP implementation.

In 2006 he was appointed to Group Business Optimisation Manager where he was responsible for leading the organisation to extract business value from the Group’s ERP deployment. He created the demand, know-how and infrastructure for initiatives using Business Intelligence, Balanced Scorecards and LEAN Six Sigma. The group benefited from quantifiable financial benefits during this period.

In 2008, he started KPI Management Solutions which provides CPM, BI and GRC solutions to a broad spectrum of private, listed and public sector organisations including three of South Africa’s largest banks. In this role, he developed strong entrepreneurial skills to compliment his corporate skills.
